After Santa Claus, it’s the New Year cards that have brought smiles on the faces of city shopkeepers. Albeit sending New Year wishes to near and dear ones through e-cards has increased in the recent past, a visit to various card galleries in the city revealed that the tradition of New Year cards is still alive.

Poodle wins first prize; Great Dane second
Dehradun, December 29
A poodle bagged the 1st prize, a maltise second and a boxer third in the 38th Dog Show, whereas from the second ring where the 39th Dog Show was held a poodle got the first prize, a great dane second and a long-haired Afghan hound won the third prize. Both the 38th and 39th shows were held simultaneously in Dehradun on Sunday.
