Lucknow, December 25
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today vented her anger towards media when direct queries were made to her regarding involvement of her party workers in extortion cases.

The BSP supremo reacted sharply when her attention was drawn towards the complaints of common people that the BSP workers as well as Aurraiya MLA Shekhar Tiwari had allegedly been intimidating government officials and allegedly resorting to extortion.

A visibly agitated Chief Minister refused to hear the complaints saying no such extortion was going on in her name and that rumours were being spread to defame her and her party. She demanded either a clinching evidence for the same or an apology by the media. — PTI
