New Delhi, December 21
The BJP will continue to put pressure on the government for the removal of minority affairs minister A.R. Antulay by raising the issue in Parliament tomorrow, party spokesman Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said today.
It was reprehensible that Antulay had not only made an irresponsible statement on the killing of Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare weakening India's position on Mumbai terror attack but had also repeated it despite the widespread condemnation, Hussain said.
The BJP would rake up the issue in Parliament in a bid to force Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to sack Antulay, Hussain said. Antulay's assertion was condemnable, particularly in the light of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's statement that Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist caught alive during the Mumbai attacks, was from Pakistan.
While Sharif was helping India, Antulay was helping Pakistan dividing the nation in the process, Hussain said.
