In a hit-and-run case, a scooter-borne couple was seriously injured after being hit by a VIP car with red beacon atop at the traffic lights of Phase III and V here this evening. The Punjab government’s Ambassador car (PB-65-4444) was coming from Chandigarh when it hit the scooter from behind, injuring the couple.

Motorcycle stolen from GMCH-32

The police has registered a case on the complaint filed by Swapnil Saini of Sector 48, alleging that his Pulsar motorcycle (HP-33-A-8743) was stolen from GMCH-32 during the intervening night of November 28 and 29. A case under Section 379 of the IPC has been registered at the Sector 34 police station.
