Honour Killing
Teenaged cousins killed for eloping
Tribune News Service

Greater Noida, November 6
Two teenaged cousins, Sonam (14) and Pinky (17), were allegedly shot dead by their cousin, Sonu (22), in Surajpur today. They both were daughters of brothers, Om Prakash and Gopichand, respectively. The victims were allegedly shot at the chest and stomach, the police said.

The matter could be termed as honour-killing as both girls reportedly had an affair with two boys of the locality with whom they had eloped to Aligarh on November 1.

According to family members, they had brought them home yesterday only.

The police has taken more than six members of the families in custody.

The police has registered a murder case under Section 302 against the accused. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
