The Tribune We are happy to announce that The Tribune, one of the most independent newspapers of the country, is launching another edition: This time from the celebrated city of Dehradun. The Dehradun Edition, to be launched on Monday, will meet the long-felt need of the readers of the city and the region around. Launching the Dehradun Edition has been a part of the continuing expansion plans of The Tribune, which has already seen the newspaper starting five new editions during the last few years, such as those from Jalandhar, Bathinda and Jammu and editions for Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. The idea behind the Dehradun Edition is to give the city and the vibrant region around the benefit of the vast range of news coverage of The Tribune encompassing local, regional, national and international developments. With the opening of the Dehradun Edition, our news network will become larger and enable us to carry news from Dehradun and Uttarakhand to other parts of the country. Besides the vast news coverage, The Tribune has the advantage of some of the most eminent writers, columnists and commentators writing on its opinion pages, analysing events and daily subjecting important issues of public interest to detailed scrutiny. The Dehradun Edition will be inaugurated by the Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Maj-Gen B.C. Khanduri (retd). Like the readers, we are looking forward to the event keenly. — H K Dua |
