MC plans satellite survey of its area

The municipal corporation has planned to get a satellite survey of its geographical area conducted from the Centre for Computation Engineering (CCE), PEC, Chandigarh, at a cost of more than Rs 55 lakh. The plan is one of the 138 proposals listed in the agenda of the MC house meeting scheduled to be held this Friday.

Cong leader hurt in bid to honour Rahul

A former general secretary of the District Congress Committee, Parveen Sharma, sustained injuries in an attempt to honour All-India Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi as the latter’s Tata Safari dragged the former several metres near Kapurthala Chowk here on Wednesday.
