The ministry of home affairs today suggested setting up courts to deal with cases of terror.
The home minister reviewed the situation.
It was suggested that the states be provided with a list of dos and donts and they be told to set up close-circuit TV cameras in sensitive areas.
Sources said a pan-India group of investigators has been formed comprising central agencies and intelligence agencies of other states.
The suspicion is that yesterday’s bomb carriers included women and children. This
wing is called the “Shaheen” force of the banned Students Islamic Movement of
India (SIMI).
More than a year ago, 68 persons lost their lives on board Samjhauta Express near Panipat. The investigators could not lay hands on anyone behind the train blasts.
This year, in May more than 80 persons were killed in blasts in Jaipur. The emails were tracked down to a cyber café in western UP but there was no breakthrough other than the arrest of one Shahbaz Hussain.
In July, nine low-intensity blasts rocked country’s IT capital, Bangalore. Two persons were killed. A day later, blasts rocked Ahmedabad and 55 persons were killed.
