Cable thieves in police net

The police has busted a gang involved in stealing of power cables in the district. The police recovered 15 quintals of stolen cables from the five arrested accused. Acting on a tip off, the police laid a trap and nabbed Resham Kumar, resident of a Nakodar village. Resham is wanted in 55 criminal cases. His four accomplices — Rajesh Kumar of
Dhina, Sodhi of Shekhe, Mukhtiar Singh of Bhatian in Gurdaspur and Avtar Singh of Bhandal Bhutan village — have also been arrested.
