Students of MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, are working on CLOUDSAT, a satellite programme. The members of the CLOUDSAT, including coordinator of GLOBE programme Nandini Mcclury and Dr Anand Sharma from the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology visited the students.

Cable thieves in police net

Jalandhar, July 24
The police has busted a gang involved in stealing of power cables in the district. The police recovered 15 quintals of stolen cables from the five arrested accused. Acting on a tip off, the police laid a trap and nabbed Resham Kumar, resident of a Nakodar village. Resham is wanted in 55 criminal cases. His four accomplices — Rajesh Kumar of Dhina, Sodhi of Shekhe, Mukhtiar Singh of Bhatian in Gurdaspur and Avtar Singh of Bhandal Bhutan village — have also been arrested. — TNS
