Hindu Suicide Squads
Bitta slams Thackeray

New Delhi, June 19
The All-India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) chief M.S. Bitta today described Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray and Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna for advocating Hindu suicide squads and praising Hindus allegedly involved in bomb-making as a "cruel attempt to communalise society".

"What kind of Hindutva is this ? On the one hand, the Shiv Sena has been a proponent of throwing out non-Maharashtrians from the state, and on the other hand, it is advising the entire community to adopt terror," Bitta said in a statement.

Pointing out that Islamic terrorists were increasingly being isolated in society, the AIATF chief said it was time for India's political establishment to encourage the trend of declining support to Islamic terrorists.

"It is atrocious for leaders like Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray to try to fuel tensions and terror. Nobody has the right to encourage terror in one form or the other," Bitta said. — UNI
