CBSE Class X Results Akhila Singh Tribune News Service New Delhi, May 29 Girls once again overpowered boys with a passing percentage of 87.96 per cent. The passing percentage of 4,49,742 boys, who appeared for the examination, was 86.46 per cent. “This year 2,589 students scored 95 per cent or above marks, of which 85 per cent were from private schools while 29,936 students got 90 per cent or above marks,” said Ashok Ganguly, chairman, CBSE. Out of the 1,419 physically challenged students, 87.50 per cent cleared the examination. “Among the disabled students, who appeared for the examination, 19 students scored 90 per cent or above marks,” said Ganguly. Delhi students attained fifth position with a pass percentage of 82.87 per cent, out of the six regions. While Chennai topped the list with 95.26 per cent students passing the examination, Guwahati stood last with only 57.29 per cent students clearing Class X. The pass percentage of other three regions was Ajmer 94.22, Panchkula 89.07 and Allahabad 89.10. Altogether 2,19,796 students enrolled for Class X examination in the Delhi region. The CBSE had announced the results for the Chennai region on May 27. The results for other five regions were announced today at 8 am.
