BJP challenges SAD supremacy in Sangrur

Sangrur, April 30
With the filing of nomination papers by BJP candidates for a Zila Parishad (ZP) seat and three block Panchayat Samiti seats in Sangrur district today, the supremacy of its alliance partner SAD has been virtually challenged in the rural areas by it for the first time since the launch of “aao gaon chalen” campaign several years ago in the state.

Expanding the bouquet of financial services being offered by post offices, they will now be retailing foreign exchange services in Chandigarh and Punjab. The service is being launched in collaboration with the Centurion Bank of Punjab (CBoP).
