Prisoners run riot in Jalandhar jail
Jalandhar, March 30
Agitated over the death of an undertrial, prisoners today took control of the Central Jail located near Basti Adda Chowk here. They did not let anyone come close to them for about two hours in the morning. This is a second incident of violence in the jail since January.

According to an analysis done by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, a national-level organisation regulated to mountaineering and adventure sports activities in Indian mountains, Indian peaks attracted as many as 52 foreign expeditions during 2007.

Challenging claims of some people in the UK trying to sell a steel armour as one belonging to Guru Gobind Singh, the Central Gurdwara (Khalsa Jatha) of London, which is the oldest gurdwara in the UK, has refuted that the steel armour plate ever belonged to Guru Gobind Singh.
