Policeman injured in firing near PM office

The high-security area near the Prime Minister’s Office here witnessed some tense moments today as a Delhi policeman was shot at and injured allegedly by a colleague. The incident took place around 11 am when head constable Sanjay Kumar received a gunshot wound in his left thigh.

During the week ended March 15, 2008, inflation touched 6.68 per cent, compared to 5.92 per cent a week ago. The rate was 6.56 per cent during the corresponding period last year.
