LeT militant, 4 cops die in J&K gunbattle
Srinagar, March 23
Three police personnel and a CRPF constable lost their lives in a fierce encounter with militants on the outskirts of Srinagar today in which they succeeded in killing a top-ranking LeT militant. The gunfight ensued after the police joined by the CRPF surrounded a house in Telbal locality, where some militants were hiding as per their information.

Musharraf pledges support to new govt
Gilani set to be elected Pak PM
Ahead of the installation of Yousuf Raza Gilani as new Prime Minister, President Pervez Musharraf pledged today that he would support the new government. Musharraf said he had put the country “on the track of development and progress” and it was now up to the new government to sustain this process and also rid the country of extremism and terrorism.
