Spring Bonanza for kids
Jalandhar, March 13
A summer camp, Spring Bonanza, concluded at Eklavya School here on Thursday. Children from different schools participated in activities like art and craft, music, dance, karate and sculpture. The kids got tips on making toys, using clay and cotton. Tiny tots got a chance to learn paper folding, hand and thumb printing. The senior children made flowers from tissue paper, wall-hanging from matchsticks and multi-utility jute bags. Children were also shown some educational CDs.

Even as the district administration and education department have been conducting inquiry into the media reports on sexual harassment allegations by students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nehru Garden, against a kho-kho coach, the DEO (secondary) today said no complaint of the sort had come to his notice as yet.

NIT Jalandhar pips big guns to bag sports title

The local Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) won the All-India Sports Festival Inter Spardha-2008 held at IT Banaras Hindu University,
Varanasi, from March 6 to 9 by winning the football event and becoming runners-up in the cricket event.
