High drama prevailed in Darua village this afternoon when a “drug-addict”, protesting against the denial of permission to enter a temple in the village, climbed over a treetop threatening to kill himself. The drama ended after over two hours when the police, with the help of the fire-brigade, brought the man down and booked him on the charges of attempt to commit suicide.

UT annuls examination for ASI posts

The relative, Avtar Singh, was seeking permission to meet Balwant Singh.

Police rules out foul play
Chandigarh, March 10
Ruling out the possibility of any foul play behind the fatal fall of 21-year-old Pawan Chhabra, the police today said the incident was an accident. It handed over the body to the family after the postmortem later in the day.
