The Democratic Alliance of Nagaland, led by the regional Naga People’s Front, is coasting towards formation of the next government in the state with the NPF bagging 25 seats so far against 22 won by the Congress as counting of votes from 57 Assembly segments out of the total 60 seats was completed.

Threat of militancy revival in Punjab real, says PM

The government has credible information of efforts to revive militancy in Punjab and cannot do away with the list containing names of Sikh youths with alleged militant links, though it undertook periodic reviews, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said in a letter to the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee.
