Pak wants to resolve dispute with India

Karachi, February 3
Pakistan said today that a negotiated settlement on the Kashmir issue would enable both New Delhi and Islamabad divert money now being spent on defence to social development programmes.

Caretaker information and broadcasting minister Nisar Memon said Pakistan wanted to resolve its disputes with India through negotiations and the core issue of Kashmir is on the table for talks.

“We want to resolve through negotiations the other outstanding issues with India, including that of Siachen, Sir Creek and Baglihar dam,” he said at a book launch event.

“After the resolution of outstanding issues between the two countries through talks, India would have no justification to deploy troops in J&K,” he claimed. — PTI
