Pak testfires ballistic missile

Pakistan on Friday successfully testfired a new ballistic missile, the ISPR said here. The ballistic missile Ghauri Hataf-V is a technologically enhanced device with a range of 1300 km.

Speaking on the occasion of the launching of the missile, President Pervez Musharraf said Pakistan was fully capable of coping with all hazards facing its integrity and nuclear weaponry.

According to the ISPR, the Strategic Command of Pakistan Army successfully testfired Ghauri Hataf-V Ballistic Missile after the conclusion of the annual ASFC exercises.

Chief of Army Staff Ashfaque Pervaiz Kayani and other high military officials were also present on the occasion.
