Smoke-free?
It is a matter of great pride that Chandigarh has been declared as the first smoke-free city in India. However, the ground reality is rather different, as the rule has not been implemented in its true spirits. One needs to hit the city streets to witness how people still openly flout the rule, least bothered about the challan spree that was initiated by the Chandigarh police a few months ago.
