In what could expose the dirty underbelly of drug trafficking in Punjab, the state police has stumbled upon a shocking and sensitive piece of information. Some of the well-connected, well-established and seemingly well-heeled people in Punjab are suspected to be either part of the murky drug-trail or are sympathisers of the local conduits working for international drug trafficking cartels.

Adivasis kill youth during Assam bandh

Adivasi tribal miscreants stabbed to death a teenager and set ablaze at least two vehicles even as sporadic incidents of violence marked the first day of the 36-hour Assam bandh called by the All-Adivasi Students Association of Assam today.

Taslima shifted from Rajasthan House
Handed over to Central govt
New Delhi, November 26
Controversial Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has been shifted from Rajasthan House. Nasreen has apparently been handed over to the Central government and was shifted to an undisclosed safe house. According to an NDTV report Nasreen, who was moved out at around 12.45 am on Tuesday in order to avoid media, was escorted by Intelligence Bureau officials in a decoy car.
