Chief Minister and SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal today announced “poll bonanza” for the SGPC members on the eve of the committee’s election. He announced the state government would provide every committee member with two official gunmen, besides allowing them the use of red beacon on their vehicles keeping in view their “loyalty”.

Britain gets tough with illegal immigration
London, November 22
In its biggest shake-up against illegal immigration in the last 40 years, Britain today announced a string of measures including imposing heavy penalties of up to £10,000 on employers for each illegal worker and introduction of compulsory identity cards. "Under a new system of civil penalties, employers who negligently hire illegal workers could face a maximum fine of £10,000 for each illegal worker found at a business.
