HC stay on withdrawal of cases against SAD-BJP men
Chandigarh, September 13
The Punjab and Haryana High Court today stayed the decision of the SAD-BJP ruling alliance to withdraw criminal cases against its leaders and supporters registered during the five-year Congress rule till further orders. The orders are specifically in respect of Barnala district only.

Mob lynches 10 ‘thieves’ in Bihar
Patna, September 13
In a shocking incident of street justice, 10 suspected thieves were beaten to death by angry mob at Dhelpharwa village, under the Rajapar police station, in Vaishali district of Bihar early today. This is the third incident of instant street justice in a row in the past three weeks in the state when alleged delay by the police to take prompt action against criminals forced the people to take law into their own hands.
