The rising talent has bagged more prizes than her age in competitions. At the age of two when children of her age are busy playing with toys, Gurpriya would go through Gurmat classes — the study of the Sikh religion. She is still enthusiastic about religious study. No wonder, the student of the Chandigarh Baptist School has mostly bagged first and second positions in all Gurmat related competitions. However, she does not ignore her studies. “I am eager to learn our culture first. I know how our forefathers guarded and propagated our culture,” she says.
