AP govt blames terror groups in Pak, B’desh
Hyderabad, August 26
As the city struggled to come to terms with the tragedy inflicted by the twin blasts, the Andhra Pradesh government blamed international terrorist organisations based in Pakistan and Bangladesh for the bombings that left 42 killed and 54 injured.

Sikh council to challenge Irish ban
London, August 26
A Sikh organisation in Ireland is planning to challenge a ban on Sikhs in a volunteer reserve police force from wearing the turban while on duty. A qualified Sikh IT professional had decided to join the Garda Reserve, a volunteer reserve section of Ireland's police force Garda Siochana, but was told he could not wear his turban while on duty.

No Muslim shrine in gurdwara
Amritsar, August 26
Giani Mohinder Singh (99), who had served as secretary, Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Lahore, from 1933 to 1947, says that there is no Muslim shrine within the gurdwara complex of Shaheed Bhai Taru Singh at Naulakha Bazar, Lahore, before Partition as being claimed by the Pakistan Evacuee Property Trust Board.
