Shopkeepers threaten to go on fast

Uncovered food items on sale as administration sleeps

The sale of uncovered cut fruits goes on unabated in the walled city despite a ban by the district administration. Besides, there is no check on sale of ice candy and juice of sugar cane and fruits which are not kept covered with wire gauze or glass.

WLCI to set up admission office

WLC College, India, would set up an admission office in Amritsar as part of its expansion plans, said Malobika Sengupta, CEO of the college, who was in the city for the inaugural function.
