Nuclear deal: US not keen on more changes
The US is not willing to consider "any further changes" to its laws to accommodate Indian demands over the civilian nuclear deal, a State Department spokesman said on Friday. Speaking to reporters on the eve of foreign secretary Shyam Saran's visit to Washington, Sean McCormack said the Indian Government had raised "a series of issues" in the so-called 123 Agreement negotiations concerning US laws.

Katara case: Suspect names 3 more MPs
New Delhi, April 21
Three more persons have been arrested in the human trafficking case involving BJP MP Babubhai Katara, including his aide and a woman who allegedly trained the persons who were smuggled abroad on how to dodge the immigration officials.

Mobile village courts, the much-vaunted project of the union law ministry, are all set to become a reality soon, with the Centre sanctioning funds for the purpose. The project envisions a new tier of courts, ‘grameen nyayalayas’ (village courts) aimed at ensuring easy accessibility of justice to the rural poor.
