While the Vigilance Bureau has already lodged an FIR against former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and former local bodies minister Chaudhury Jagjit Singh in the Ludhiana City Centre scam case, the SAD-BJP government will review some controversial BOT (build, operate and transfer) contracts awarded to some private companies by the Local Bodies Department during the previous government.

India wants Pak to open road route to Kabul

External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said that India’s focus at the upcoming 14th SAARC Summit here would be to broaden connectivity within the South Asian region, adding that New Delhi would seek to have a road transit route to Afghanistan via Pakistan.
