HC takes a swipe at Ram’s claims New Delhi, December 22 “Factually, Mr Jethmalani would have the court to believe that Manu Sharma was not present, George Mailhot was not present, Deepak Bhojwani was not present and Tata Safari (of Manu) was planted. He would also have us believe that two weapons were used which he supports with the aid of experts and Shyan Munshi,” the Bench of Mr Justice R.S. Sodhi and Mr Justice B.K. Bhasin said, analysing his high pitched arguments, which had created a lot of controversy during the hearing. The Bench said as per Jethmalani’s arguments, the “tall Sikh” was none other than Tony Gill himself. Referring to Jethmalani’s arguments while attacking Mailhot’s evidence and propounding the theory that he saw a “Sardar standing above the desert spot who was maintaining calm. It was this Sardar, according to the counsel, who fired the fatal shot,” the Bench said, if Jethmalani was believed then “Tony Gill” was correctly identified as the said “tall Sikh gentleman”. At another point, the Court referred to another assessment of Jethmalani that about 10 photographs were shown to witness Deepak Bhojawni to identify the “fair complexioned person (Manu) and the Sardar. From amongst them, he identified the photographs of Manu Sharma and Tony Gill.” |
