Court summons Badals

Ropar, December 19
The Special Court Judge, Ropar, Mr G.S. Saran, today issued a notice to the former Chief Minister, Mr Parkash Singh Badal, his son, SAD general secretary Sukhbir Badal, and others to appear before the court on December 23 in a corruption case registered against them by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.

Mr Parkash Singh Badal’s wife, Surinder Kaur Badal, has been exempted as per the earlier order of the court passed in 2004.

The Special Court has issued a notice to Badals and other, in the case acting on the application moved by the District Attorney (DA), Mr Pardeep Mehta, yesterday seeking appearance of all the accused in the case.

The DA had also submitted the apex court judgment in the court to resume the hearing of the case.
