Though officially nothing has been conveyed to the Punjab Government either by the Centre or by the Election Commission with regard to the fixing of dates for the Assembly elections, sources said the commission was considering holding the elections on March 4.

3 girls killed in train-bus collision near Jalandhar

Jalandhar, November 23
Human error and fog led to the death of three students of PTM Arya Girls College, Noormahl, when Dhanbad Express rammed into a bus carrying the students at an unmanned level crossing at Gumtala, near Bilga, this morning. Sixteen persons were injured in the accident.

Cops misbehave with HC judge

In a shocking incident which took place a few days ago, some Haryana police personnel in an inebriated state allegedly misbehaved with a woman judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and threatened her security staff.
