Ludhiana, November 15
A close relative of the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, today alleged that a group of developers in the south city area, which was already booked for fleecing several people, had defrauded him by selling his plot to another person.

The complainant, Dr C.K. Singh, a pathologist of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, started construction of boundary wall at plot No. 27-A, Block-G, where another claimant, possessing documents, reached there, saying that he had purchased the plot.

Dr C.K. Singh is son-in-law of the elder sister of Mrs Gursharan Kaur, wife of Dr Manmohan Singh. The Prime Minister and his wife always make a visit to their house in the city whenever he was in the region.

In his complaint to the city SSP, Dr C.K. Singh alleged that developers Vikas Bhalla and Ayush Bhalla had sold off his plot fraudulently to some persons. He claimed that he had bought the plot in the year 2000. He had registration document as well as mutation of the plot approved by the Revenue Department.

Sources said the police was trying to verify the documents and solve the matter amicably.
