Legal Correspondent

New Delhi, October 31
The Supreme Court appointed monitoring committee, overseeing the sealing operation against illegal shops in residential areas in the national capital as well as Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) today moved the Supreme Court raising different questions on the sealing issue.

While the monitoring committee (MC) sought probe into the leak of its report submitted to the court earlier seeking to put off the sealing operation for two weeks, MCD sought breather for 44,000 traders giving undertaking in their affidavits earlier for shifting of their shops out of residential colonies.

The MC sought probe into the leak of the report which was confidential and meant for perusal of the court.

The Committee comprising former Election Commission official K.J. Rao and former bureaucrat Bhure Lal, has taken a strong exception to the leak to media before the court had even taken note of it.
