3 shot, 100 hurt in Delhi

New Delhi, September 20
Three persons, including an eight-year-old boy, were killed and 100, including security personnel, injured as the traders’ bandh against the MCD’s sealing drive turned violent in many parts of the Capital today. The police arrests a demonstrator while trying to disperse a mob which got violent during a protest against the sealing drive launched by the Delhi civic authorities at Seelampur in East Delhi on Wednesday.

Youth hacks sister, cousin to death
Dinanagar (Gurdaspur), September 20
A 22-year-old youth, Rajesh Kumar, hacked his sister, Puja (18), and a cousin, Jyoti (17), to death after he allegedly found them in a compromising situation with a youth at their house in Bala Pindi village, about 10 km from here, last night.

Investigators probing the July 11 serial blasts in Mumbai’s local trains claimed to have finally found evidence of Pakistan-based terror links in the operation. Two of the suspects arrested for the serial blasts have admitted to links with the terrorist groups, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R.R. Patil said here today.

SC stays warrants against former Admiral

The Supreme Court today stayed the arrest warrants against former Naval Chief R.H. Tahiliani, the head of the India chapter of Transparency International, and Bhaskar Rao, Director of Centre for Media Studies, issued by a magistrate in Jammu and Kashmir in a criminal defamation case taking cognizance by him suo motu.
