4 top LeT, Hizb militants shot

Four top militants of the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and the Hizbul Mujahideen were among six killed in separate incidents in the valley since last evening.
A top LeT was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Anantnag district last evening.

He has been identified as Abu Mohammad Syed from Lahore. He was the area commander, chief administrator and financial controller for Jammu and Udhampur. He had been operating in the Gool-Gulabgarh area for over three years. The seizure included an AK rifle, three magazines, a hand grenade and 40 AK rounds.

Another LeT militant from Pakistan, identified as Moutasim Billa, was killed in an encounter in Pulwama district early this morning. Acting on specific information, the security forces had cordoned off the area last night.
