2 boys throw acid on girl in Jalandhar

Jalandhar, September 7
In a gruesome incident, two motor-cycle borne boys in their early twenties allegedly threw a glass full of acid on the face of a 21-year-old girl in Model House locality this evening, resulting in 30-35 per cent burn injuries to the girl.

Seema (21), a resident of Kot Mohalla in Basti Sheikh was attending her computer centre class run by Mr. Rajiv Kumar in Model House locality, this evening, when two boys in their early twenties came to meet her.

As soon as, Seema came out after getting the message from Rajiv Kumar, the two boys splashed a glass full of acid on her face. Her shrieks alerted Rajiv Kumar, who, rushed Seema to the Civil Hospital.

Dr Harjit Singh of the Civil Hospital said though her face received burn injuries, but, no damage had been caused to her eyes of Seema.

No arrest has been made so far.
