Quota Bill introduced in Lok Sabha
New Delhi, August 25
The controversial Bill to provide 27 per cent reservation for OBCs, including those belonging to the ‘creamy layer’ in elite central and aided educational institutions like IITs, IIMs, from the next academic session was introduced in the Lok Sabha today.

Delhi medicos suspend stir
New Delhi, August 25
Medicos in the national Capital have decided to suspend their agitation till the Winter Session of Parliament, but have forewarned that they may return to the streets as and when the need arises.

he people of India have been taking some pride in the nation being the largest democracy in the world. They are, however, feeling rather worried over what is happening in Parliament lately.

No apology from Dutch on detention of Indians
New Delhi, August 25
There has been no categoric apology from the Dutch for the detention of 12 Indian passengers on board a Mumbai-bound Northwest Airlines flight that took off from Amsterdam on August 23. The Indians were detained for alleged suspicious behaviour.

SC refuses to intervene in HUDA’s auction of plots
New Delhi, August 25
The Supreme Court today declined to intervene in the auction of plots by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) on the plea of MPs and MLAs outside the state, claiming reservation of certain per cent of plots for them.
