PU results

Chandigarh, June 14
Panjab University today declared the result of CET-2006, conducted by it on June 12 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BA L.LB (Hons), B.Pharma and B.Sc (Honours school).

The result gazettes will be available at the old enquiry office as well as the university website www.puchd.ac.in  from 10 am tomorrow. The university has also declared the result of B.Sc(Part-III). The result would be available on the university website www.puchd.ac.in  after 2 pm tomorrow. — TNS

Rohan Khera tops pre-medical CET

Chandigarh, June 14
City students, who had made their mark in various all-India pre-medical tests, today proved there mettle once again bagging almost all top positions in the pre-medical entrance test conducted by Panjab University as part of the CET.

The test, held on June 12, chooses candidates for admission to various MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS among other non-medical courses. The results were declared by the university today.

Rohan Khera, a student of Moti Ram Arya School, Sector 27, topped the pre- medical CET scoring 297 marks out of 360. He had earlier got the fifth position in the all-India CBSE.

He was also the only student chosen from the city to represent the country in the International Biology Olympiad.

Rohit Malhotra, who had scored the 19th position in the all-India CBSE, is second in the CET, while A.S. Sanjeev, a student of Ajit Karam Singh School, Sector 41, is third in the CET.

Sanjeev had scored the 67th position in the all-India CBSE.

Ankita Chakravarty, a student of SGGS Collegiate Public School, Sector 26, who had brought laurels to the city by standing fourth in the all-India CBSE, is fifth in the CET.

Akhil Prashar, who got the 65th position in the all-India CBSE, is sixth in the CET.

Dinkar Bhasin, a student of DAV College, Sector 10, who had bagged the seventh position in the all-India CBSE, is seventh in the CET.

Candidates downloaded results from the university’s website late this evening and from the information made available by these students a tentative merit list was compiled.
