Mumbai, June 11
The Oshiwara police in suburban Mumbai has registered a complaint of molestation filed by Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant against Mika, brother of singer Daler Mehndi.

In her complaint Sawant alleged that she was dancing with her friends at an Andheri night club on Saturday when she was accosted by Mika.

According to her, Mika kissed her against her will while her friends, who objected, were beaten up by Mika’s bodyguards.

After Sawant’s complaint, the police registered a case against Mika under Sections 323 (assault) and 354 (molestation) of the IPC.

Rakhi was not available for comment but her secretary Abhishek Awasthi said the incident took place at around 2 am today at ''Someplace Else'', a restaurant in suburban Andheri.

The occasion was Mika's birthday party, he said. "Mika and Rakhi have known each other for the past few years. She went to the party after being requested by Mika", he added.

At the party, instead of the ''customary form of greeting like hug or a peck, Mika kissed her forcibly", Awasthi charged.

He said "Mika immediately left for Delhi". The police said a search was on for Mika.
