Manmohan receives Koirala at airport

New Delhi, June 6
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today set aside protocol and went to the airport to receive Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala who arrived here this evening on a four-day goodwill visit.

All important engagements of Mr Koirala are slated for tomorrow, which includes his talks with Dr Manmohan Singh and his meetings with President A P J Abdul Kalam, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar.

The Prime Minister is hosting a dinner for Mr Koirala tomorrow.

This is Mr Koirala’s first foreign visit after he took over as Prime Minister last month.
