Big haul of arms in Mumbai
Tribune News Service and PTI

Mumbai, May 13
Four persons were arrested from Malegaon in Nasik district today in connection with the arms seizure from suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba militants in Aurangabad even as the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) in Mumbai on Saturday recovered another haul of arms, including a box load of RDX, one AK 47 assault rifle and several rounds of ammunition on the outskirts of Nasik city.

The cache of arms was found stuffed in some abandoned pipes used for supply of potable water on the Manmad-Yevla road in Nasik. Senior police officials said the RDX seizure was the biggest so far. Four persons from Malegaon were held on the charges of assisting three LeT suspects arrested on Tuesday, taking the total number of those arrested in the case to eight, ATS sources said.

They were involved in changing the registration number plates of the two cars in which the LeT suspects were carrying arms and explosives, ATS chief K.P. Raghuvanshi said.
