Nine IAS officers transferred in Punjab

Chandigarh, May 12
The Punjab Government tonight transferred nine IAS officers in the state with immediate effect, an official spokesperson said here.

G.S. Cheema, Chief Electoral Officer and Principal Secretary, Department of Elections, has been transferred as Financial Commissioner, Development.

The charge of Chief Electoral Officer and Principal Secretary, Department of Elections, has been given to Sundaram Krishna, Financial Commissioner (Appeals-II).

P. Ram, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, has been given an additional charge of Principal Secretary, Higher Education and Languages.

Vijay Kain, Principal Secretary, Higher Education and Languages, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation.

R.P.S. Pawar, Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Services, and Principal Secretary, Printing and Stationery, has been given additional charge of Financial Commissioner Appeals-II.

G.S. Sandhu, Principal Secretary, Irrigation, has been made Financial Commissioner, Cooperation.

Kusumjit Sidhu, Principal Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation, goes as Principal Secretary, Irrigation.

Gurdev Singh Sidhu, Director, Colonisation, goes as Director, Technical Education and Industrial Training.

N.K. Wadhawan, Director, Technical Education and Industrial Training, has been made Labour Commissioner and Director, Employment. — PTI
