Mahajan’s health worries doctors
Tribune News Service

Mumbai, May 2
The condition of BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan worsened today with all his vital organs placed under life-support systems, doctors at Hinduja Hospital said.

Dr Anupam Verma, Director and Administrator of the hospital, said doctors were concentrating on controlling Mahajan’s respiratory system and blood pressure.

On Monday, Mahajan’s condition took a turn for the worse when he showed signs of acute respiratory distress syndrome, which according to doctors has a high mortality rate.

Mahajan’s support levels have been enhanced to quite an extent, Dr Verma said.

“The overall condition is quite critical. Lots of things are being taken care of by the doctors. In totality, the picture has deteriorated since Monday,” he added.
