Germany rejects asylum plea of five Indians
New Delhi, April 9 Randeep Singh is the son of Har Gulab Singh, who is one of the four persons named by the CBI in its FIR. The other three are senior Indian Foreign Service official Rakesh Kumar, accused of being involved in human trafficking when he was the Director-General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, ICCR programme officer Kehkashan Tyagi and S K Sharma, alleged to be the conduit. The five could be deported to India if the review petition was not accepted by Germany. In the meantime, the five had been kept in the asylum house in Berlin. Meanwhile, Kumar, Special Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, who broke his journey and was admitted to a hospital in Munich, is likely to arrive here tomorrow, the sources said.
