Seven die as jeeps collide

Abohar, March 30
Seven residents of Lakhuwali village, located across the inter-state border, were killed in a head-on collision between two Jeeps last night. Five others received injuries, witnesses said.

According to information, most of the victims were returning to Lakhuwali village in a Jeep after appearing in a court case when their vehicle collided head-on with another Jeep coming from Ravatsar township near Mainawali village.

Bashir Khan (40), Mohammed Yaar (75), Mahna Kotwal (30), Nazir Haji (70), Sitar Khan (30), Zabar Khan (32) and Prabhu Oad (33) died on the spot.

Mohammed (40), Abdul Majid (22), Allah Ditta (50) and Chhinder Bhat (23) were among the injured.
