New Delhi, March 17
The Delhi Police today detained a person who tried to intrude into the Prime Minister’s house. The person has been identified as Ashok Kumar Sharma, 24, from Rohtas district in Bihar. Immediately after the security forces detained Ashok, an alert was sounded around the Prime Minister’s residence. All intelligence agencies and the local police, including the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), immediately reached the place.

The incident took place around 3.30 pm here when Ashok tried to enter the Prime Minister’s house. According to police sources, Ashok had lost his elder brother in a tractor accident five years ago and since then he was into financial crisis.

During interrogation Ashok alleged that his brother was killed by some people.

He approached the local police in his area in Bihar but it refused to help him. Frustrated, he decided to approach the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and came to Delhi this afternoon.

He told the police that the people who allegedly killed his brother now wanted to kill him and his entire family. They also threw some bomb like thing at his house, which he brought to Delhi. The police later identified it as a detonator.
