New Delhi, March 14
President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today greeted the nation on the occasion of Holi and expressed hope that the festival would strengthen ethos of secularism and pluralist society.

In his message on the eve of Holi, Dr Kalam said "may this year's festival strengthen the ethos of secularism and pluralist society with a spirit of tolerance and respect for each others' feelings, which is the essence of the Indian civilisational heritage".

In his message, the Prime Minister said the festival reminds us of the vibrant colours of our multi-cultural society and our diversity. May the joy, colour and gaiety associated with the festival touch the lives of one and all. May this occasion usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for all, he wished.
