Industrialist’s son held for rape

Mumbai, March 12
The police today arrested the 26-year-old son of a leading industrialist for allegedly raping a 52-year-old woman in Worli area of the city. The accused was identified as Abhishek Kasliwal, son of Shriram mill owner Ambuja Kasliwal, and the incident happened in the wee hours of yesterday, police sources said.

According to the woman, the accused offered her a lift sometime after 2.30 am on March 11 near Prince of Wales museum in Colaba area.

But instead of dropping her at Bombay Central as promised, he took her to Shriram Mills compound in Worli and allegedly raped her repeatedly in the back-seat of the car and later dumped her back in Colaba area, she has said in her complaint. — PTI
