RS panel for Sakshi’s expulsion

The Ethics Committee of the Rajya Sabha today recommended the expulsion of Samajwadi Party MP Sakshi Maharaj for "compromising" the dignity of the House and "inappropriate conduct" in the sanction of funds under the MPLADS. It, however, gave the benefit of doubt to BSP member Isam Singh.

The 10-member committee headed by Dr Karan Singh, however, found the undercover NGO — Dedicated Investigative Guild—which laid the trap and Star News that telecast the programme as virtually guilty of contempt of the House by not disclosing information regarding the contacts and disobedience to the Order of the Committee.
